IgM

Syphilis IgM assays are used to diagnose primary syphilis infections and to aid in the differentiation diagnosis of genital ulceration.

Based upon recombinant T. pallidum antigens the Lab21 Healthcare Syphilis IgM assay has been specially formulated to enhance reactivity and is an IgM capture assay which has been proven to improve specificity.

The assay has been designed with the customer in mind with easy to use colour coded reagents and simple conjugate preparation.

Unlike other syphilis IgM kits the Lab21 Healthcare assay does not require a separate off-line pre-dilution of the sample. The sample is directly pipetted into the microplate well containing sample buffer; a proprietary indicator system changes colour upon sample addition giving security that the sample has been added.

To maximise the number of patient samples which can be performed in the assay the system was designed without the need to run cut-off controls or calibration samples.
