The Lab21 Healthcare EIA II test is a treponemal antibody test, and uses three recombinant antigens in a sandwich format to detect T. pallidum specific IgG, IgM and IgA antibodies in serum or plasma samples. In this way it covers all stages of syphilis infection based on a microplate well format, the test is both highly specific and sensitive.

It is extremely easy to use, requiring no sample dilution and having a total incubation time of 60 minutes (including colour development), and is suitable for both manual and automated assay systems. Kits are available in 96 well and 480 well test sizes.
