Lab21 Ranked in Fastest Growing Technology Companies on the Deloitte Fast 500 EMEA 2011

Lab21 Limited, the global specialist in personalised medicine and clinical diagnostics, today announced that it has been ranked at 317 on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA 2011, a ranking of the 500 fastest growing technology companies in EMEA.  Rankings are based on percentage revenue growth over five year.  Lab21 Limited grew 527% during this period.

 

Lab21 Limited’s CEO, Graham Mullis, credits a combination of strong organic growth in its products and services divisions with good quality acquisitions and integrations to deliver the company’s 527% revenue growth over the past five years.  He said “I am proud Lab21 has been recognised by Deloitte in 2011 as one of the fastest growing technology companies in EMEA which is a great achievement and demonstrates how hard the Company and its employees have worked”.

Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA selection and qualifications

The Technology Fast 500 list is compiled from the Deloitte EMEA Technology Fast 50 programmes, nominations submitted directly to the Technology Fast 500, and public company database research.  To qualify for the Technology Fast 500, entrants must have had base-year operating revenues of at least €50,000 and current-year operating revenues of at least €800,000.

Entrants must also be public or private companies headquartered in EMEA and must be a “technology company”, defined as a company that develops or owns proprietary technology that contributes to a significant portion of the company’s operating revenues; or manufactures a technology-related product; or devotes a high percentage of effort to the research and development of technology.  Using other companies’ technology in a unique way does not qualify.
